The third edition of Kalasha International TV & Film Market comes up on 26th to 28th March, 2019 at Kenyatta International Convention Centre Nairobi. Kalasha International, the premier Africa film event is an initiative of Kenya Film Commission in the fast growing East African region.
The French Embassy in Kenya is partnering with the Commission in planning this year’s event.
Kalasha International TV & Film Market is a 3-day trade fair showcasing companies from international and East African region offering high-level interaction for trading and sharing ideas and side events that include conferences, workshops, coaching and pitching sessions.
The 8th Kalasha TV & Film Awards winners were announced in a lavish gala event held in Nairobi, Safari Park Hotel graced by the crème de la crème of the film industry with other renowned guests drawn from government agencies and corporate blue chip firms. Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of ICT Mr. Joe Mucheru was the chief Guest with remarks from Kenya Film Commission Chairman, Chris Foot and Ag. CEO Timothy Owase.

Nairobi, Kenya, 17th October 2018 …The Kenya Film Commission today unveiled the 2018 Nominees for the Kalasha Film and TV Awards at Prestige Cinema, Prestige Plaza.
The selection process of more than 1000 submissions was carried out by a jury of experts consisting of stakeholders drawn from film industry associations, academics and industry professionals.
On 13th June 2018, winners of the Kalasha Market 2018 Duotrix Media premiered their teaser trailer at the Alchemist bar in Westlands with a receptive audience giving a standing ovation for the amazing piece of art and creativity they displayed.

The winners of the pitching sessions held during the 2018 Kalasha International TV & Film festival were announced at the end of the three day event.
The pitching sessions which were the headline events during the three day market, marked the first time the government through the Kenya Film Commission offered cash prizes to film makers.
