Kalasha International TV & Film Market is a 3-day trade fair showcasing companies from international and East African region offering high-level interaction for trading, sharing ideas, with side events that include conferences, workshops, coaching and pitching sessions.

Kalasha International TV & Film Market is a unique platform for all regional & international players and festival goers from the TV & Film industry to gather, discuss exchange, collaborate, share stories and develop new business opportunities.

Come and join a large number of international professionals from the Audio-visual and Film industry coming from East African countries, Europe and other places around the world, for a unique opportunity to boost your business through trading content, partnership opportunities, networking and more.

This event offers high-level interaction with Network groups, TV Channels, Mobile operators, Distributors, Commissioners, Producers, Directors, Scriptwriters for trading, sharing ideas and perspectives on new programs and development policy. Along the trade show, other side events like conferences, workshops, coaching and pitching sessions will take place.

A pitching competition will be open to all practicing and upcoming filmmakers registered for the market. Individuals from East Africa will be given a chance to pitch a concept or project to potential investors in the following categories:

1. Film – Feature / Short

2. Animated TV Series or animated feature film

3. TV – Series / Soaps / Shows

4. Documentaries

The four (4) categories will put 24 established and aspiring producers under the spotlight to pitch an original idea to a panel of industry key players and potential investors, other producers, programming and commissioning executives and advertisers.

Only 24 pitches will be selected from the pool of submissions by a specially appointed committee of experts i.e. six (6) nominees for each of the four (4) categories.
