Njoki Muhoho holds a Diploma in Film Making from New York Film Academy, Universal Studios, Hollywood; a Bachelors’ Degree in Business Education from Kenyatta University, and a Masters’ Degree in Mass Communication Research from the University of Leicester UK. She is currently the Academy Director for the Multichoice Talent Factory – a regional fully sponsored film academy. She is also one of the most experienced film Juror’s in the continent. For 3 years running, she has been a Juror for International Emmys. She has also serviced in the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) as Juror since inauguration. She served as AMVCA Chief Judge in 2015. Njoki has a dual career in Film and Management consultancy. She is one of the leading professionals in Organizational Development, Strategic Planning, Change Management and Human Resource Management. She is also an Award winning Film Maker. Her career in TV and film is the result of a hobby gone serious. Writing as a hobby, Njoki became the Kenya National winner of MNET’s New Directions Scriptwriting Competition in 1999. Not certain if this was a fluke or symbolic of a latent talent, Njoki took a one-year sabbatical from her busy Management Consultancy career with Price Waterhouse and joined the New York Film Academy at Universal Studios, Hollywood, earning a Diploma in Film-making. She is now an Award Winning Producer and a Film Academy Director. Njoki has read over 200 scripts, coached and mentored writers and produced over 71 of them into 60 minute films, all of which aired on DSTV. She has also written 5 Africa Magic Original Films which were produced by and aired on DSTV. These include: The Plot, Six, Being OT, The Judge and Get me a Job. Njoki co-wrote the script Lainan which aired on Africa Magic. She wrote Radio Deutsche Welle’s programme, Learning by Ear – 3 seasons of 10 episodes each on education, health and jobs. These are translated into 6 African languages and broadcast around Africa and online.
